Located in the prestigious Calabasas area, Bella Skin Institute is a full service dermatology, laser surgery and aesthetic surgery practice directed by Dr. Anna Guanche and associates.
With a brand new professional facility consisting of four exam rooms and two procedure rooms, the Bella Skin Institute has been designed to be warm and engaging while focusing on providing clients with the newest, most innovative procedures available to perfect skin. We use state-of-the-art equipment such as GentleLase hair removal system for safe, effective hair removal, Vbeam pulsed-dye laser for vascular lesions, the Perfecta System for pigmented lesion removal and the revolutionary SilkPeel dermalinfusion microdermabrasion system.
The Bella Skin Institute is dedicated to combining medical science and cosmetic beauty to provide any client with exactly what they need, from dermatology services to minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, performed at the facility. Dr. Anna Guanche uses a tumescent anesthesia for all procedures so the patient is never placed under full general anesthesia.
Procedures performed include resurfacing, hair removal, Fraxel™ and laser therapy; facial and body peels including dermasanding for acne scars; Thermage™, mini "S" lift, blepharoplasty and liposuction; Juvéderm™ Injectable Gel, Radiesse™ or BOTOX® Cosmetic injections for wrinkle removal; and more. Aesthetic services include SilkPeel microdermabrasion and dermalinfusion, dermaplaning; facials; and waxing. General dermatology services include skin cancer screening and surgery, acne, rashes, eczema and more.
Laser Hair Removal
Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, the patient who is tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair may welcome laser and intense pulsed light hair removal with relief.
Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years. Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.
