Welcome to The Laser Center of Marin. Our Philosophy: TLC is dedicated to enhancing your sense of well being by helping you look and feel your best. We are not a franchise. We are locally owned and operated which means we are tied to the community and plan to be here for the long term. Our Medical Director, Skylar Ulrich, M.D., lives in Marin and has been practicing in the Bay Area for over ten years. We pride ourselves on our high level of customer service. This means you get appointments when you need them and you should never feel rushed. Further, our practitioners forge one-on-one relationships with our patients, so we can better understand your needs and goals.

Offering our patients the latest technology is another key strength. We are constantly evaluating new lasers to insure we offer the latest technology to our patients. This breadth of technology means we can offer a multitude of options to address a wide variety of aesthetic needs. This is one of our key strengths, especially if you compare us to the smaller physician’s office that might have one or two lasers that can only address a portion of your needs. Also, since we are not bound to using a particular manufacturer’s equipment as most franchises are, we are able to select the best equipment available in the marketplace.

At The Laser Center of Marin, our laser treatments and injections are medically supervised and safe. Our record of safety comes along with significant experience. Besides being one of the largest laser clinics in the Bay Area, TLC has consistently been awarded the Platinum Level designation by both Allergan (makers of Botox and Juvederm) and Medicis (distributors of Restylane and Dysport). This designation is awarded to only the few clinics that have reached a certain level of injections. What this means to you is we have very experienced injectors that deliver excellent results…safely.

OUR LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Excess body hair can be unsightly and embarrassing. Shaving, plucking, waxing and depilatory creams provide temporary fixes that are inconvenient, irritating, and messy. Electrolysis is time consuming, sometimes painful, and is useful only in removing hair from small areas.

Excess and unwanted hair is a common problem shared by both men and women. In many cases, the condition runs in families. Race can also be a factor; Caucasians are more prone to having excess facial hair than are Asians and African-Americans. Some people experience unwanted or excess hair from the time they reach puberty; others find it to be a condition that gets worse with age. Some women experience additional hair growth during pregnancy or menopause. Women who experience sudden hair growth should consult with their physicians, as this may be a sign of other medical conditions.

Hair does not come in any one size or type. Follicles in different parts of the body produce differing types of hair. Hair can grow in thick, bushy patches or in long thin strands. In addition, hair is produced in follicles that can be found at different depths and densities — as close to the skin's surface as a millimeter or as deep as five millimeters or more. Until recently, this great variety in hair types and body locations made long-lasting hair removal a significant challenge. Advanced technology lasers and light sources are rapidly changing hair removal treatment as they provide gentle, non-invasive, and long-lasting solutions to unwanted hair. Among laser and light-based devices, the LightSheer™ Diode Laser System provides safety, superior results and the highest patient satisfaction.
