Laser Hair Removal FAQ's

How many treatments are required?
A total of 5 to 8 treatments are usually necessary, but results are often seen after the first treatment. As the series of treatments progresses, you will notice longer and longer hair-free periods, with the treated hair growing back finer and sparser, until the hair is gone.
The interval between treatments is usually about 4 to 6 weeks.

How long does each treatment take?
Depending upon the size of the area being treated, your appointment time will vary from about 5 minutes (upper lip) to 90 minutes (legs).

Does it hurt?
It is often described as a pinprick sensation. Most patients tolerate the procedure easily, but because some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, we provide topical numbing cream as an option at no additional cost.

What about after the treatment?
Side effects, if any, are minor and temporary. Your skin may be pink for a few minutes, to up to a day or two. Makeup may be applied immediately, if desired.

Who performs Laser Hair Removal?
Our Registered Nurses, who have had specialized training and certification, as well as many years of experience with laser treatments.
